From Guymon to Oklahoma City, from Miami to Altus and Idabel and everywhere in between, underground utility lines are the life-blood for nearly 4 million Oklahomans.
The Oklahoma Excavation Safety Expo brings together professional contractors/excavators, underground facility operators, the state's One-Call and those in the safety industry to educate, train and share ideas about how to make Oklahoma a safer place to dig.
Hands On Training
The Oklahoma Excavation Safety Expo offers different opportunities to work hands on with various equipment and simulators.
Through our various breakout sessions, exhibitors and training classes, attendees have the opportunity to test new equipment, understand best practices and exercise safety techniques.
Mock Line Strike
One of the newer attractions to the Oklahoma Excavation Safety Expo is the mock line strike. This scenario utilizes live equipment, a simulated high-pressure gas line and trained personnel.
Line-locators will come out to the site and demonstrate the best practices for marking a proposed digging location. Then, excavators will simulate striking a high-pressure and what steps to take to ensure a secured scene. Finally, professional first-responders will arrive on the location to walk through several emergency scenarios.
The simulation runs approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.
